Jump on board an authentic Steam Train in your Sunday best as we travel through the Victorian goldfields region from Castlemaine to Maldon and back.
In our first class cabin we will be able to step back in time to an era of elegance and decadence, drink from the parlour bar and head out on to the end viewing platform to watch the world go by.
Our destination is the historic town of Maldon. After we disembark the train we will have a 15 minute walk into to town to grab a bite to eat at the local pub and check out some of the local stores. Then its back on to the train for our journey back to Castlemaine.
And as a special thrill, for those that are able to climb up into the engine compartment, you will be able to get up close and personal to experience the thrill of travelling next to the driver for a portion of the journey. See why steam trains capture the imagination of everyone no matter their age, the sights sounds and smells of a steam locomotive hard at work.

Pickup and drop off service to your home will incur additional costs.
Out of pocket expenses:
• Return Train Ticket = Adult $50 each / Concession $45 / Children (4-16) $20
• Travel with the driver experience (additional cost) = $45
Spending money: Food and drink purchases can be made on the day, or you can BYO lunch. And for those that like a bit of retail therapy bring some extra $ for our shopping trip in Maldon.
