Step back in time and join us for a full weekend of spectacular family fun at the Victorian Medieval Festival, held at Kryal Castle! Spectacular jousting knights, an action-packed combat tournament, reenactor’s village and Birds of Prey on the arena, plus much more!
VMF JOUSTING TOURNAMENT
The VMF Jousting Tournament is a spectacular event held across both days! There is nothing quite as thrilling as the thunderous sounds of horses, lances and knights clashing together.
SWORD FIGHTING DISPLAY
Cheer on the Knights as they battle in the Sword Fighting display! The equipment worn by competitors is the same as real medieval armour.
BIRDS OF PREY
Birds of prey helped people of Medieval times hunt. Watch an engaging and exciting traditional birds of prey display on the main arena.
TREBUCHET!
Watch the trebuchet fire three times each day at the Victorian Medieval Festival!
ROAMING PERFORMERS
Experience live entertainment throughout the castle by our roaming performers.
REENACTORS VILLAGE
The medieval village provides an immersive recreation of what life was like in medieval Western Europe, from the dark ages to the renaissance. Reenactors from Australia’s highest quality groups will set up their encampments, allowing attendees to learn by both observation and demonstration of the skills required to succeed in these historic times.
MEDIEVAL MARKETPLACE
Merchants will offer a fine range of hard-to-source, handmade, and unique items for sale. • Items available to purchase include perfumed soap, costumes, drinking and eating ware and armour for war. • Many artisans will be making the items onsite, for attendees to view.
MEDIEVAL BEERS AND MEADS
Enjoy medieval to modern food, ale, mead and entertainment!
