Calling all cricketers!!

Have you ever wanted to play cricket but don’t know how? Or are you a seasoned cricketer and want to join an inclusive league? Well this is your chance to get involved.

Every Wednesday evening the players are divided into 2 teams for a practice match. Each player will get to have a turn batting and bowling during the match and there will also be skills development opportunities throughout the session so you can learn new techniques and practice old ones.

We have 2 formats being played, one for experienced cricketers and one for those just learning the game. We have a soft ball and can modify the rules to make sure that everyone can play. The match is played on the oval at the Maiden Gully Recreation Reserve, with division 2 playing in the nets and division 3 playing on the cricket pitch.

Then on a handful of Sundays throughout the season, the teams will play against other cricket teams from around Central Victoria in the All Abilities Cricket League (dates and locations still to be advised).

Adventurebilities is teaming up with the Maiden Gully Marist Cricket Club All Abilities Team and offering support for you to attend outdoor cricket this coming summer season. Our support session includes home pick up and drop off, ball handling skills, social development skills and learning how to be an effective member of a sports team.

So jump on board the Adventure Bus every Wednesday evening this summer, bash some balls, get fit and healthy and make some new friends.
